William Craig was born in Philadelphia May 07, 1811 but traveled to Boston to marry May 11, 1844 his wife Nancy Willing Spring. She was born October 13, 1820 to Marshall Binney Spring of Watertown MA and his wife Eliza Willing. According to the 1850 Census Norfolk MA the value of  the Real Estate he owned was $20,000. By 1860 they  appear to have returned to Philadelphia as they appear on the census there. Together the couple had four children:

2. William Fisher born June 28, 1847 Jamica Plains, MA, died 1919, m. (1) Fanny Pickman October 31, 1877, Boston MA. (2) Susan C. Lay February 10, 1891
3. Annie b. 1846
4. Edward Robbins born April 03, 1850, Brookline, MA, died February 07, 1928, m. Edith Newbold Jones
